Respect, love and obedience... These principles represent what I have found to be essential to a healthy and productive practice of the martial arts. They also represent a way, or DO, of being in everyday life.

Seido Juku SymbolThe contours represent a plum blossom. The central part shows three circles. The plum blossom is the family crest of the Nakamura family. The three circles represent the aims of Seido Juku: Sonkei, Ai and Jujun - Respect, Love and Obedience.

"To respect each other, love each other, believe in each other, and support each other, forming one ring."

Seido

The name of our style has a very special meaning. "SEI" means the Truth, Honesty and Sincerity and "DO" means the Way Of.

Patches on our Gi (Uniform)

Patches on our Gi

The rectangular patch translates to Seido Juku, where Juku means Special Place. It is worn on the front left side of our Gi.

The round patch is the Seido Juku Symbol. It is worn on the left sleeve of our Gi.
